Dance Instructor

Kanvas Dance Company is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic dance instructor to teach students of various ages and skill levels for our Wamego and Council Grove locations. We are looking for someone with experience in one or more dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, acro, or technique.

The ideal candidate is confident leading a classroom, communicates well with students and families, and can create a positive, structured environment where dancers are challenged, supported, and encouraged to grow. Teaching assignments may include recreational and competitive classes ranging from beginner through advanced levels.

Applicants should have a strong understanding of dance technique, age-appropriate instruction, classroom management, and choreography. Prior teaching experience is preferred, but dancers with strong training and the ability to connect with students are also encouraged to apply.
