Help Turn Creative Projects into Marketing that Connects
Green Giftz helps businesses bring their brands to life through corporate gifts, branded merchandise, and company stores. We’re looking for a creative, resourceful student who enjoys collaborating in person, takes pride in their work, and wants hands-on experience in business-to-business marketing.
Our audience includes corporate marketing teams, HR professionals, purchasing teams, and other business decisionmakers. You’ll help create polished, engaging content that shows how our products, services and ideas support their business goals.
We want our content to reflect the real work behind our brand: our people, products, creative process, and thoughtful client solutions. You’ll help turn everyday projects into useful stories that show prospective clients what it’s like to work with Green Giftz.
What You’ll Do
• Plan and maintain a content calendar, with an emphasis on LinkedIn and guidance from our team.
• Write captions and marketing copy that communicate our expertise and the value we bring to clients.
• Capture quality photos and edit short videos showcasing products, projects, showroom displays, team activities, and educational insights from our team and supplier representatives.
• Create graphics and email layouts using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint for social media, Mailchimp campaigns, and client proposals.
• Collaborate with account managers and our designer to gather project details and develop content, gift guides, checklists, and planning tools.
• Keep content and assets organized, consistently naming and filing photos, videos, working files, and approved materials.
• Use AI thoughtfully to support brainstorming, drafting, and organization.
• Assist with product preparation, events, local errands, and occasional office projects.
What We’re Looking For
• A currently enrolled student studying marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, graphic design, or a related field.
• Strong writing, proofreading, and attention to detail. • An interest in B2B marketing and the ability to adapt content to a professional audience.
• A creative eye and an interest in how thoughtful marketing builds trust, generates leads, and supports sales.
• Good photography skills and basic experience filming and editing short videos, including attention to lighting, composition, clear audio and captions.
• Access to a camera or smartphone capable of capturing quality imagery is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Canva, PowerPoint and the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Organization, reliability, and follow-through on agreed deadlines.
• Initiative: you notice opportunities, bring ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and flag obstacles early.
• A willingness to receive feedback and apply it to future assignments. Previous social media experience is preferred. Class projects, student organization work, volunteer projects, and freelance work welcome. Social media analytics, familiarity with HubSpot or MailChimp, and experience using AI tools such are additional strengths.
Our Team and Work Environment
We are a collaborative team that enjoys working together in person and takes pride in serving sophisticated corporate clients. We value resourcefulness, respectful communication, practical problem-solving and getting things done.
You will receive onboarding, reference materials, clear priorities and scheduled feedback. As you become familiar with our business, we’ll expect you to take ownership of assignments and move work forward between check-ins.
We use technology to support our client programs, company stores, reporting, and daily workflows. You’ll have opportunities to learn how digital tools support both marketing and client service.
Schedule and Commitment
This opportunity is designed for a student seeking meaningful experience alongside their coursework. You must be able to work in our downtown Grand Rapids office 2-3 days per week. We will offer flexibility around classes while maintaining a consistent, agreed upon work schedule.
We anticipate a January 2027 start and prefer candidates interested in continuing through summer and into the fall 2027 semester. An earlier start or limited paid onboarding before January may be available. We are willing to coordinate with your academic program on internship requirements, learning objectives and evaluations. Academic credit is subject to your school’s approval.
What you will Gain
• Practical experience creating marketing and business for audiences.
• Opportunities to build a portfolio of approved work.
• Experience collaborating with account managers, designers, and business owners.
• Exposure to corporate gifting, branded merchandise, and company store programs.
• Practice connecting creative work to business goals and evaluating its performance.
How to Apply
Please submit:
• Your resume
• A brief note explaining why B2B marketing interest you and what you would bring to Green Giftz
• Two or three relevant work samples that showcase your eye for design/composition, copywriting, short videos, graphics, or class projects. For one sample, please explain the intended audience, what you wanted the content to accomplish, and the outcome.
• Your anticipated graduation date, earliest start date, and availability for winter, summer and fall 2027.
• Any academic internship requirements.
We are interested in how you develop an idea and turn it into finished work, not just about which tools you use. If you enjoy creating thoughtful content, collaborating with others, and seeing your ideas put into action, we’d love to hear from you.
