Staff Writer
All of our staff, including our founders, are volunteers who believe in supporting local music. Candidates should be graduates or undergraduates with a passion for music. This part-time position is unpaid and remote.
A team of diverse voices helps promote more inclusive coverage of the music scene and this city’s local talent. We highly encourage women, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ applicants to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Create content related to the local music scene (covering shows, writing album reviews, or other features)
- Must be responsive and receptive to feedback and edits
- Interview and profile local artists
- Regularly communicate with editors regarding assigned stories and availability
Desired Skills:
- Relevant studies or work experience
- Basic understanding of WordPress
- Strong research and analytical skills
