Training Programs Coordinator ($25/hr, full time with benefits)


Position Summary
Reporting directly to the  Executive Director, the Training Programs Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Executive Director in executing TLECFUE’s three signature business confidence training programs for beauty and personal care services business owners: its Business Exploration & Start Up Program, its Digital Optimization; and its Make it Official Program. The position will help ensure the short- and long-term success of TLECFUE’s ongoing training programs and increase its overall impact.  The ideal candidate is a charismatic, team oriented, quick-witted,  articulate, tech savvy, detailed-oriented, and creative thinker with the ability to work both independently and as part of a growing team who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.    


Major Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, Training Programs Coordinator will have exceptional time management, analytical, written and verbal communication, and project management skills with a high emotional intelligence quotient and great interpersonal skills.  A successful candidate will achieve the following within their first year in the role:

Working alongside the Executive Director, the Training Programs Coordinator will execute all scheduled programming to help TLECFUE reach its annual targets for businesses served under its training programming. The incumbent will also work alongside the Executive Director to update the curriculum for all of its signature programs as needed and ensure that all programming is accessible online and in person to TLECFUE’s entrepreneurial community. The incumbent is also responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all program management activities associated with the smooth functionality of all programming including but not limited to spearheading all of the administrative functions associated with the marketing of our programs to partner agencies and qualified cohort participants; pre-screening all incoming applications and organizing candidate interviews; assembling a cohort selection panel; and procuring all required resources for the successful execution of all program activities (i.e. space, staffing, equipment, program materials, food); and reporting on our program outcomes. This includes securing volunteer mentors,  guest speakers, and workshop presenters, and consultants for the program; training all mentor and consultant staff on the programs and online classroom; and working with the Executive Director to negotiate all contracts for paid contractors.  Proactively troubleshoots all issues that arise and resolves them. The Training Programs Coordinator facilitates all ongoing programs from pre-planning phase through to finish; spearheads regular training programs team meetings and conference calls/video-conference; and performs all other related duties as assigned by Executive Director & Board of Directors.

Primary Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Non-Profit Management or related field required. Demonstrated ability to manage programs or projects  for an organization; and leading a team is strongly preferred. Demonstrated willingness to learn, good judgement, and critical thinking skills  are required. Prior experience in non-profit communications and/or fundraising preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bilingual a plus.
 
The individual must have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to relate to other staff, volunteers, agency representatives, TLECFUE clients and the general public. The individual must be self-motivated and committed to workplace participation and diversity with the ability to work as a team member.

  • Experience and comfort with databases and data management 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google, and other mainstream business applications
  • Strong self-starter who works well independently and with a team and willingness to learn how to develop one

This is a part-time role with a flexible schedule. Competitive salary and benefits are provided and are commensurate with experience.
