Marketing Assistant for Website and Social Media (Remote Work Available)

Marketing, Public Relations and Communications Intern
 
Art League RI is seeking a student intern to assist with and participate in marketing, communications and public relations of a non-profit art organization located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The internship can be designed to allow the student to work towards earning course credit. Students participating in the internship for course credit should plan to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.  Interns who do not want course credit should plan to work 10 - 12 hours per week. Hours are flexible and will be scheduled around the student's other courses. 
 
Qualifications include experience in website maintenance and management (especially WordPress and/or SquareSpace), graphic design, social media updates, written communication such as newsletters, general marketing and communications assignments.
 
The Marketing, PR and Communications Intern will participate on a team of professional marketing experts, Art League Board Members, graphic design interns, artists and others. 
 
Must be reliable, responsible, and team-focused with good communication skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn on the job. Experience with one or more software platforms such as Word Press, InDesign, PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator or other graphic design software are helpful but not required. Project management, copy writing and/or creative writing and communications experience are a plus.
