Marketing Intern

Key to Knowledge is a startup non-profit with the mission to excel and improve the education environment in under developed countries. We hold local school drives and community event to collect school supplies for students in need. In our first two years we have impacted over 450 students is countries like Honduras, Venezuela, Cuba and Puerto Rico. As we begin to grow our operation we seek young college interns who may interested in education, international affairs, or social justice and human rights. 
We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment.

We have three focuses for this internship with varying responsibilities and projects. These include:

Creator
Duties:
  • Draft social media posting
  • Explore alternative social media platforms
  • Research and study different creative designs of successful posts and other organizations' social media posts 
  • Draft print material (Brochures, flyers, etc.)
  • Brainstorm with other marketing interns to increase engagement for all social media platforms

Copywriter
Duties: 
  • Draft Captions for posts created by “creators” 
  • Create text-only posts 
  • Research and study different captions/text-only posts and other organizations social media captions/text-only posts 
  • Brainstorm with other marketing interns to increase engagement for all social media platforms
  • Draft print material (Brochures, flyers, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Communications interns to draft emails, scripts, etc. 

Recorder
Duties:
  • Publish drafted post created by other marketing interns 
  • Record performance of each post 
  • Analyze relationship to the performance and design of each post 
  • Provide insight in how each post should be created using analyticals.
