Staff Civil Engineer

Staff Civil Engineer – Baton Rouge (Regular Full-Time)

We are looking for an entry-level engineer to assist with a diversity of technically challenging, ground-breaking projects across multiple markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Staff Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and technically challenging projects in the Gulf South! Our Baton Rouge geotechnical/environmental team works on a variety of industrial development, coastal, infrastructure and transportation projects such as pipeline facilities, marsh creation, and roadway infrastructure. You will be responsible for several field aspects of our geotechnical and environmental services, such as field exploration and earthwork construction monitoring. You can expect to spend a significant portion of your time in the field on projects, both big and small, allowing you to develop a broad understanding of soil conditions and construction related issues as they relate to geotechnical and environmental engineering. You will also be involved in report writing activities and performing geotechnical analyses, such as slope stability and seismic analyses. This position will require 20-40% regional and national travel.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Civil, Environmental or Geological Engineering required; MS degree in Geotechnical or Environmental Engineering strongly preferred
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong field orientation
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to successfully work within a team
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically
