Sales & Marketing for Fast-Paced Eco Start-Up

Hi!

We are looking for a few high-performing and self-motivated students interested in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship to join our team! We are small start up, growing quickly with many marketing initiatives, inbound sales leads and brand development opportunities along with business process reengineering projects. As such we are looking for some with business, marketing, analytical, writing, and client facing skills along with sales and account management to jump in and help grow our brand.

We are also exploring additional marketing opportunities so interest or experience in web design and development and/or digital marketing will be a big plus. 

Opportunity for stock based on performance and commitment to the company.
 
Included Training (10%):
  • Personal Development Program - 10.5 hours
  • Advanced Marketing Course - https://myventurepad.com/what-i-learned-from-neil-patels-advanced-marketing-course/ (Overview). Apply these concepts to VAMA Eco’s business throughout the internship.
  • Product and Program Review -Review the technology VAMA uses for pest control products and how our products are different as well as how the prevention programs work. Understand the core competencies of the product and overall solution.

Content Development (20%):
  • Craft articles and content for syndication online to support the organization.
  • Implement and execute the campaigns - identifying and tracking success metrics - KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators). This includes message development and testing through actual campaigns to the targeted lead lists you’ve developed.

Online Marketing & Web Development (30%):
  • Web Optimization - Review of current website content, define requirements for UI/UX improvements including content, and implementation on the platform
  • SEO - Define and execute SEO initiatives to boost traffic and ranking on Google
  • Social - Define and execute a social media strategy to optimize brand exposure and awareness
  • Craft email, retargeting and other various campaigns to attract new prospects from the list you developed.
  • Implement and execute the campaigns - identifying and tracking success metrics - KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators). This includes message development and testing through actual campaigns to the targeted lead lists you’ve developed.
  • Setup and use web analytics tools and services such as Google Analytics, Reply.io, Zoho CRM, Zoho Invoice, etc..
  • Perform other brand awareness and development projects with the CEO

Business Development (20%):
  • Join CEO on live calls presenting to a real prospective clients from the list you developed and marketed to above.
  • Develop soft skills to speak to and understand clients needs and present in a professional manner. You will have exposure to high level executives at these companies.
  • Run the sales calls with CEO. Make sure you are comfortable with the pitch, can answer client questions, and can lead future sales calls.

Partner Relationship Management (10%):
  • Partner with local Pest Control partners to understand their target markets andcapabilities.
  • Work with CEO to foster this relationship by developing, executing and reporting on an agreed marketing strategy and approach incorporated into the lists developed above.
  • Work with CEO to fine tune and adjust the proposal and present to the prospective client.
  • Partner with clients to understand and respond to their needs after they’ve signed on to the VAMA Program.
  • Learn what makes good email and VM correspondence, how and when to ask for meetings, and reading clients to determine best course of action for them.

VAMA Training (5%):
  • Go through the spray protocols for both products, how treatments will be run, and more information about bed bugs and how they tend to function.
  • Join CEO in a live call running training to a real client.
  • Run the pitch with Sandeep. Make sure you are comfortable with the training, can answer client questions, and can lead training on future calls.
  • Go through some of the most common questions and pushback we get from clients and how to handle those.

Operations Overview (5%):
  • Review and understand how VAMA business operations function and the tools available to streamline business processes.
  • This includes an understanding of Product Development/Formulation, Manufacturing & Fulfillment, etc..
 
Time Commitment:

We are looking to hire a few students who can each contribute about 20-40 hours a week. Timing will be flexible and can fit around your class schedules/other commitments. Among the group of interns, our goal is for schedules to be coordinated with each other to cover various calls/activities at different times but also setting aside average 1 hour per week to work on projects together.
