UX/UI Internship

We're a popular consumer products company building the innovative products for the home! One of our biggest products is Clocky, the popular alarm clock that runs away beeping. Check us out at www.clocky.com and new products you work on will be part of our larger umbrella consumer brand.

We are designing new products for launch in 2024 and we would love to bring on an intern or two to help with various parts of our product launches. Does the idea of growing with a company that creates highly innovative consumer products, becoming a critical member of its team appeal to you? Our interns only work on projects that will be used in the real world.

You will gain valuable experience working with our senior level team. We are ultimately looking for students that have an interest in innovation, creativity, may also be entrepreneurial. and of course smart and hungry to learn!

IS THIS YOU?

The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Create image assets and graphics for web and mobile applications
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to the CEO
  • Learn and incorporate UX and UI best practices and standards for web business applications
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Build their UX/UI design portfolio, increase their design skills, and learn to build and develop brand language. This training is similar to the learning a student would get in a high level design.
  • Receive mentorship from the company's CEO
  • Sit in on team meetings and contribute ideas to high level development
  • Pitch projects to the CEO and learn to develop their ideas in a professional setting
  • Gain experience in a startup setting in a field relevant to their major
  • Develop their professional communication skills


SKILLS:

  • UX & UI design experiences with a strong portfolio
  • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototyping
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to human-centered design
  • Ability to present your designs and solutions
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest design trends, design tools, and technologies
