Actuary Interns are given the opportunity to learn the basics of actuarial functions through exposure to a broad range of insurance products and actuarial methodologies in addition to participating in project work that takes place throughout the internship.

Our Actuary Internship offers opportunities to:

·       Compile and categorize data

·       Complete assignments which pertain to monitoring rate adequacy

·       Manage corporate insurance risks

·       Perform basic statistical analysis

·       Evaluate loss and expense reserves  

·       Become familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies

In order to be eligible for this elite opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

·    Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, or Statistics

·    At least one actuarial exam complete is preferred

·    Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.0

·    Graduating in Fall of 2021 or Spring of 2022

·    Ability to work in a team atmosphere

·    Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
