Actuary Interns are given the opportunity to learn the basics of actuarial functions through exposure to a broad range of insurance products and actuarial methodologies in our Madison office. 

 

Our Actuary Internship offers opportunities to:

•   Compile and categorize data

•   Complete assignments which pertain to monitoring rate adequacy

•   Assist in managing corporate insurance risks

•   Perform basic statistical analysis 

•   Evaluate loss and expense reserves 

•   Become familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies

 

 In order to be eligible for this elite opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

•   Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, or Statistics

•   At least one actuarial exam complete is preferred

•   Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.0

•   Ability to work in a team atmosphere

•   Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
