Professional Services Engineer

As a Professional Services (PS) Engineer at ZL Technologies, you will be responsible for executing large-scale projects for ZL’s flagship product ZL Unified Archive – these include new deployments, data migrations and other miscellaneous projects of strategic importance to the company. You will serve as the technical lead in project teams, and liaise with clients, project teams, and subject matter experts to drive projects through to completion.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Become an expert on the IG industry, and ZL’s solution offering
  • Be the technical lead for multiple client-facing projects such as new deployments, data migrations, and other projects strategic importance to the company
  • Execute project scoping, requirement gathering, implementation, user-acceptance testing, and end-user rollout for major client-facing projects
  • Design and implement technical solutions to business problems for new and existing customers
  • Present solutions to technical and non-technical audiences of all levels, internally and externally
  • Document technical specifications, configurations and best practices, and maintain a knowledge base for the team
  • Lead internal and client-facing project meetings, syncs, and working sessions
  • Develop good working relationships with clients, strategic partners and internal teams
 
Requirements:
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or an equivalent quantitative field.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills required to analyze systems and perform troubleshooting. The candidate should be well-versed in Java, C# or a similar programming language, as well as in database systems such as MS SQL or Oracle.
  • Has a general understanding of the technologies commonly used by project teams: VMware, Windows Server, SAN/NAS storage, Storage I/O, and electronic data sources
  • Willingness and ability to learn about the Information Governance (IG) industry, ZLUA, and the different solutions it offers to client to fulfill their regulatory compliance and eDiscovery requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – should be able to communicate technical concepts to internal and external audiences of all levels.
  • A customer service mindset that focuses on creating value and trust, and setting clients up for long-term success.
  • Can comfortably use the tools adopted by the team: MS Outlook, MS Office, JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project
  • 1 – 2 years of experience is preferred, but not required.
