ClearBridge Investments is seeking an Associate to join our New York City based Operations Team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in joining a growing Asset Management firm. This role will be focused on the Billing and Proxy areas and the ideal candidate should possess strong computer skills, excellent written/oral communication skills and have the ability to handle the responsibilities outlined below:

Primary Billing Responsibilities and Duties
·      Calculate fees associated with client accounts
·      Ensure timely distribution of invoices and processing of auto debit fee
·      Process check and wire payments in the billing system
·      Track and follow up on outstanding receivables
·      Reconcile payments from Sponsor Firms
·      Proactively identify and resolve billing issues
·      Provide monthly revenue and aging reports to Finance team
·      Work closely with Finance team on accruals, billing questions and adhoc requests.

Primary Proxy Responsibilities and Duties
·      Monitor shareholder meetings on vendor voting platform
·      Distribute meeting information and research to interested parties
·      Reconcile ballots and follow up with custodians on missing ballots and share blocking meetings
·      Ensure timely processing of proxy votes in accordance with analyst recommendations
·      Open/close accounts on the voting platform and perform account maintenance

Qualifications
·      Bachelor's degree
·      1-2  years of Financial Services experience preferably in asset management
·      Ability to multi-task and independently prioritize tasks
·      Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
·      Strong organizational skills
·      Independent problem-solving skills
·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
