Landscape Internship
We’re looking for a winter/spring Corporate Landscaping Intern who will join our Corporate Facilities team at our World Headquarters located in Marysville, OH.
What you’ll do in this role:
This a seasonal position for an associate to support and assist the Landscape Services Crew in maintaining quality standards for research field areas, priority lawns, general landscape, grounds maintenance and related facilities. Work performed for this position will primarily be outdoors, on the grounds. Work performed for this position will follow all SMG, materials and equipment manufactures safety guidelines and recommendations at all times.
Responsibilities include:
- Mowing, string trimming, irrigation system service, lawn, landscape and flower bed care.
- Snow removal and ice melt applications.
- Tree pruning and removal.
- Grounds equipment maintenance/repair, interior plantscapes care and facilities structure care and setup.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school.
- Prioritize collaboration and problem solving.
- Manage multiple tasks and be detail-oriented.
- Basic knowledge of horticulture practices, turf management and equipment operation.
- Ability to safely operate commercial mowing equipment, including zero turn mowers, greens mowers, tractors and similar equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to operate vehicles with either manual or automatic transmissions.
