Solar Business Development Summer Internship

Business Development Intern
 
Nautilus Solar Energy, LLC (“Nautilus”) is a leading owner-operator of distributed generation and community solar projects located throughout North America. Over its 14-year history, the Nautilus team has successfully developed, acquired, managed, and invested over $1.2 billion of capital into solar projects.
 
The Nautilus Solar Internship Program will offer undergraduate students a 10–12-week hands-on experience assisting in the development, acquisition, and operation of distributed solar assets while learning more about the solar and renewable energy industries. As a Nautilus intern, you will gain experience in solar development, energy storage, distributed generation, and project financing. These opportunities offer a unique blend of analytical, financial, and technology experience working alongside experienced industry veterans. This position will be highly interactive with customers, partners,       and Nautilus personnel.
 
The Business Development Intern will work closely with the Business Development team to identify and evaluate solar projects for Nautilus to acquire, own, and operate. The focus will be on supporting the origination of new business clients and opportunities. The internship will be remote. 
 
Responsibilities:
o  Prospect and evaluate potential solar acquisition opportunities.
o  Identify new potential development partners and research existing partners.
o  Assist in researching state and local policies, utility tariffs, program rules, and other various assignments.   
o  Gather and review project information for internal review and pricing.
o  Organize Business Development events, offsites, and trainings.
o  Provide other assistance to the Business Development team upon request.
o  Monitor, track, and report market updates through industry periodicals, interconnection queues, and program capacity lists
o  Assist senior personnel in bid and RFP responses.
o  Review and manage data rooms for project diligence.
o  Additional duties as required.
 
Requirements:
o  Actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student, Junior or Seniors preferred, or recent recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree. 
o  Interest in the solar and renewable energy industry
o  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable ability to understand and communicate technical concepts
o  Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software proficiency.
o  Comfort working in a remote environment
o  Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
