Business Operations Analyst

Business Operations Analyst
Bon Me is hiring a business operations analyst to join our corporate team. You will work closely with our corporate and operations teams on a variety of projects. You’ll bring a quantitative focus to decision making and help provide data and analysis to improve Bon Me’s operating performance.

In this role, you’ll focus on a few areas:

Marketing
You’ll work as a part of our marketing team:
  • Help implement promotions and menu changes
  • Analyze revenue and item sales data to provide feedback to the marketing team 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery apps, keeping our menu updated and helping with issues
  • Manage our point of sale system

Operations 
You’ll be the primary contact in our corporate team to help support our operations managers in a number of areas:
  • Manage our food database that sets ordering and prep numbers by tracking sales, inputting new dishes, and setting vendor information
  • Update food costing and nutritional analysis for new dishes
  • Track ordering and store-level food expenditures to help monitor performance and encourage improvement
  • Set up technology systems and troubleshoot issues as necessary
  • Help out with complicated projects  such as major events or seasonal schedule changes by providing quantitative analysis and support
  • Develop metrics and reports to help monitor and improve operating performance

Finance
You’ll work on a number of bookkeeping and finance responsibilities including:
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including paying bills, reconciling accounts, and periodic account tasks
  • Provide finance support for locations, such as monitor cash logs, reporting results to landlords, and tracking catering data
  • Assist with and file tax and compliance reports
  • Help with financial reporting and performance assessment

What skills are we looking for?
Bon Me is a small business, and you’ll be part of a small corporate team. It’s important to be someone who can pitch in where needed and adjust as our business changes. You’ll need to be able to work independently, see areas of improvement, and follow through on your ideas.

A successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills and be very organized. You should be able to communicate clearly, especially about numbers. And you are comfortable working with spreadsheets and doing some basic programming. 

Lastly, you should be someone who loves food and is willing to work at our locations so you can learn more about our business and get a different perspective on your work.

What are the details?
This position is salaried, with a starting salary of $54,000, plus an annual bonus that averages around $2,000 per year.

You’ll be eligible for benefits including health benefits, 401k (after 6 months), and 15 days per year of paid time off.

The business operations analysis will report to our CEO, and also work closely with the rest of our corporate and operations leadership teams.

This job is primarily in-person at our corporate office, located at 67 Kemble St in Boston. You will likely also work at our restaurants (or even food trucks!) frequently and also have some flexibility to work remotely.
