Account Coordinator
Kickstand Communications, a national, full-service PR firm, is looking for an Account Coordinator to join its team in Austin. This position is great for recent college grads. Previous experience (full time or internship) a strong plus, but not required.

This is a full-time position. While the role is fully remote, candidates will ideally be based in the Austin area.
Account Coordinator responsibilities include:
Client Relations & Account Support
- Support multiple agency accounts, both consumer and B2B
- Draft and send agendas and action items for weekly client calls, working with account team to ensure accuracy of updates and details
- Ensure speed and accuracy across all client correspondence
- Creation of media lists and ownership of ensuring all media lists are kept fully up to date
- Assist in the creation of client reports, including coverage reports detailing coverage and team activities
- Attend and actively participate in client meetings
- Regular drafting of short and long-form content, including press releases
- Media relations support, including:
- Monitoring the media for breaking news; developing an understanding of the media landscape and applying that knowledge
- Developing relationships with key media contacts
- Responding to client and inbound media requests
- Support in identification of proactive coverage opportunities (ad hoc and ongoing)
- Assisting in the preparation of briefing materials for secured client interviews
Team Support
- Work with account leads on administrative tasks for the team
- Attend agency and industry events
- Participate in team brainstorms, as well as in training and planning sessions
- Help develop and grow a strong agency culture
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Basic knowledge of print, broadcast and digital media
- Interest in technology and ability to keep abreast of industry news and current affairs
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and stay organized

Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate degree
- Up to one year of PR experience (accepted but not required) -- internship experience is applicable!
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint necessary, with the ability to quickly learn new tools.
