Supervisor Community Support Services

Business: Boys Town
Job Summary:
The Supervisor Community Support Services (LIFT Program, In-Home Family Services Supervisor) develops, designs, and implements program components. This position also enlists, supervises, trains, and maintains a culturally and linguistically appropriate staff.
Responsibilities:
Plans, implements and coordinates the daily operations of Family Support Services.
  • Interviews, selects, trains, and evaluates program personnel.
  • Provides workshop training and other training experiences.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining program budgets; arranges for purchase of equipment and supplies.
  • Creates and distributes special reports on request.
  • Develops and maintains community collaborations; educates and communicates to civic leaders, government officials, and professionals in the community.
  • Evaluates program development progress to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Provides reports on request; reviews data for the formulation of special reports.
  • Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagan's Boys' Home mission.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, behavioral sciences, related field, or equivalent; Master's degree is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience, preferably including direct care in a human services field, administrative, and supervisory experience.
  • Must provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed) to complete travel requirements of the job.
  • This position is on-call (continuously or rotationally) to provide support and may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to research, plan, organize, and conduct training programs; ability to conduct training with adult learners and a comfort level with a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex material.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Proficiency in computer program such as Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to lead a team of associates.
