Custody Associate (Bank Operation Services)
The incumbent will process securities trades, settlement and custody related transactions in accordance with the customers’ instructions following Bank’s risk governance framework, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance requirements.
Job Duties
Include but are not limited to:
Securities Settlement Processing and Asset Servicing
- Review customer instructions and compare them with settlements received in respective systems
- Escalate any unusual activities, special cases and /or disputes
- Accurately and timely conduct daily reconciliation including but not limited to securities holding, corporate actions, tax withholding, and customer reports etc.
- Review customer entitlements prior to crediting customer accounts with corporate actions funds/securities
Client Reports/Invoices Preparation
- Prepare various daily and monthly reports for supervisor review
- Prepare ad-hoc reports requested by clients and/or management
- Prepare customer invoices for supervisor review before sending to customers for timely billing
Risk and Compliance Management
- Prepare counter party and issue list for OFAC screening
- Monitor activities, identify and promptly report any suspicious/unusual transactions
- Review and update departmental policies and procedures as instructed
Customer Service and Research
- Investigate, escalate and repot unusual transactions in daily operations
- Investigate immediately upon receipt of customer inquiry and reply in a timely manner
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other Business related majors is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in securities industry (banking, brokerage firms) back-office or client service is preferred
- Bilingual capability in Mandarin is highly preferred
