JOB DESCRIPTION: The Family Partner works in conjunction with the Clinician to complete Child Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessments (Fast CANS), and to help develop the Family Support Plan for Family Members experiencing Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) related issues. The Family Partner oversees the implementation of the Family Support Plan with support from other FRC Staff. The Family Partner may work with all Family Members who are involved with the FRC; however, Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues are prioritized for services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
  1. Assess the needs and strengths of families requesting support.
  2. Engage and support families using a strength-based approach.
  3. Assist the Clinician and Family Members in identifying strengths and needs for the CANS Assessments.
  4. Asist Family Members in the development of a Family Support Plan.
  5. Co-facilitate (with the Clinician) evidence-based programs and support groups (The Parenting Journey, Active Parenting, and the Parent Café).
  6. Identify community resources and build collaborative relationships with community agencies.
  7. Engage parents in leadership development activities and the development of mutual support networks.
  8. Participate in team meetings.
  9. Other duties as assigned to support the program.

Job Requirements:
  • The ability to work with diverse populations in a community-based setting using a family-center, strength-based approach. 
  • The ability to work some evenings and weekends.
  • High School or GED equivalent with at least three years’ experience in a similar setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Valid MA Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured and inspected vehicle for use during workday.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

 Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education
 Bilingual: Spanish/English
  • Associates Degree or higher in Human Services or Related Field
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word®, Excel®, Outlook®, PowerPoint® and Teams®
  • Experience facilitating groups and providing education.
