Position Title: Research Assistant II
 
Position Description:
Work under general supervision, independently and in collaboration with others, perform research for projects; may provide interpretation and initial analysis of results; may investigate, troubleshoot and modify methods and procedures; may assist in designing experiments; perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned. Day to day job duties and responsibilities will include working with infectious animal models in BSL2/3 environment. Animal model experience is required along with small animal dissection skills. Candidates with experience performing T cell and cytokine assay will be given preference. Able to collaborate proficiently and communicate effectively with colleagues and management teams. 
 
Physical Requirements:
This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Must be able to work in BSL2/3 with PPE for at least 8 hours. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
 
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Requires 3-5 years experience in animal handling in-vivo and in vitro immunological assays.
