Full-time Research Technician position available at the University of Rochester Medical Center
Our laboratory studies molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration in the context of Alzheimer’s disease and CNS injury.  Therefore in addition to general lab maintenance duties, this position would require using molecular biology, protein biochemistry, cell culture and imaging techniques. Mouse studies are also carried out in the lab, and thus the position will require some mouse handling procedures as well. The person in this position must be well-organized, keep excellent records, have very good lab bench skills, be able to multi-task and have good interpersonal skills as our lab group is quite diverse. The position requires a BS/BA degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Neuroscience or a related discipline.
