Plaistow Before & After School Program Staff

Are you seeking a part-time job that will help you build valuable skills while carrying out fun and rewarding work? Do you want to build upon your leadership skills while working directly with youth at an organization that makes a difference in the community? This may be the role for you!

As part of our Before & After School Staff team, you will help create a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment so that each child can learn, grow, and thrive while in our care outside of traditional school day hours. On a regular day, you will demonstrate a vast knowledge of good teaching practices, develop and lead children in fun and engaging activities, support the secure check-in and check-out of children, and collaborate with team members in supervising groups of children to ensure safety, appropriate behaviors, and licensing compliance. You will ensure relevant communication is shared amongst team members and to supervisors, documenting all incidents as required and responding to children's needs.

To thrive in this position you must have an interest in working directly with children in a developmental setting. You understand how to remain cognizant of the rules and ensure the safety of children while jumping into the game and encouraging participation to make the afternoon enjoyable for program participants. You are seeking a fulfilling and rewarding job that will expand upon your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults.   This is a job with purpose; our school-age staff truly makes a difference!
