The Mastercard Launch program is aimed at early career talent, to help you develop skills and gain cross-functional work experience. During the first 18 months of work, Launch participants will be assigned to a business unit, learn and develop skills, and gain valuable on the job experience.

Be part of the Data and Services Technology Team at Mastercard
-Data Engineers are fundamental to the success of our client engagements by acting as the bridge between raw client data and Mastercard's software.
-Data Engineers work closely with external contacts and with Business Consultants while working on consulting engagements and with Software Engineers to help inform the development of internal capabilities


Data Engineers are responsible for:
-Designing processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) terabytes of data into Mastercard's analytics platform
-Sourcing data from clients, government and other third party data sources, and Mastercard's transaction data warehouse
-Working across multiple teams, both internal and external, in order to determine the data requirements and business logic applicable to each data set
-Tackling big data problems across various industries

Bring your passion and expertise
-We recruit for and value the following core competencies:
-Desire to work with data and help businesses make better data-driven decisions
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities
-Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills
-Bachelor's/Master's degree with an established history of academic success

The role also involves these skills. We don't require them, but it's helpful if you already have them:
-Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and ETL Processes
-Hands-on experience with the ETL process, SQL, and SSIS
-Knowledge of at least one programming language
