Photography and Videography Intern

Art League RI is looking for a student intern to assist with photographing and video-taping art exhibitions, promotional and educational events, artist interviews and artwork for social media and e-Commerce. 
 
This is an unpaid opportunity and intended for academic credit, preferred junior or senior level standing. Please submit a resume and a cover letter sharing why you’re interested in working with Art League RI. The term will coincide with the summer semester, and those with outstanding performance may be invited to continue through the fall semester. Students participating in the internship for course credit should plan to work a minimum of 12 - 15 hours per week or hours as required by the individual’s institution. Hours are flexible and will be scheduled around the student's other courses.

What You Will Do
 
·     Style and photograph a variety of events, artwork, artists and their studios. Create and edit video content to be utilized in online marketing efforts.
·     Produce engaging and innovative imagery. Learn how to interpret consumer response and translate it into effective media that assists the growth of overall brand and sales of products.
·     Collaborate with Marketing and Design teams; learn how many teams work together to run successful marketing campaigns and e-Commerce platforms.
·     Manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicating progress and meeting deadlines.
·     Create media catered to the aesthetic of each individual brand.
·     Support continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and offering creative solutions.
·     Contribute to and support a positive, creative, and collaborative culture and continuously improve efficiency, communication, and work products.
 
What You Will Bring to the Table
 
·     Currently, a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Marketing, or related field.
·     Prior work and/or educational experience in photography required; videography experience preferred.
·     Must be reliable, responsible, and team-focused with good communication skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn on the job.
·     Experience with one or more software platforms such as InDesign, PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator or other graphic design and video-editing software are very helpful but not required.
·     Passion for your art, commitment to a personal work ethic, highly creative and imaginative.
·     Detailed with goof organizational and communication skills. Builds relationships and works collaboratively in a team environment.
·     Able to navigate and positively in a moderately-paced and challenging environment. Takes initiative and anticipates needs and responds accordingly.
