The BWH cardiovascular genetics program is at the forefront of clinical research on inherited cardiomyopathies; hypertrophic, dilated and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathies. Historically, our group identified the genetic basis of these diseases, and studied cardiomyopathy pathophysiology in model systems and clinical cohorts. Recently we have transitioned towards large scale collaborative research and clinical trials of novel therapeutics.

The research coordinator will be principally focused on the conduct of clinical trials in patients with cardiomyopathy. This includes research subject recruitment, coordination of study visits, interaction with contract research organizations and sponsors. All under the supervision of the principal investigator and with guidance from senior research staff on our team.

Research coordinators will work directly with Dr. Neal Lakdawala and Dr. Carolyn Ho.

We are interested in both entry level research coordinators and those with prior experience who would join at a higher level position with greater salary, autonomy and responsibility.

Other research activities include recruiting patients to participate in an established biorepository, entering data into an established clinical database, and handling regulatory elements of clinical trials.
