International Market Research Analyst

The Analyst will be responsible for managing and fulfilling research requests for the international group in addition to supporting the strategy and operations of the team day to day. This position will collaborate closely with supervisors and other constituents in its research and analysis efforts to support the international growth of the PGA TOUR. This role is critical to the growth of the international department and maintaining relationships on behalf of the international team across the broader PGA TOUR ecosystem.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field required; coursework in research and statistics preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in global research and analysis; sports and/or international business experience preferred
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills; experience in design is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required, knowledge of Adobe Suite a plus
  • Experience with global database tools preferred
  • Organized with project management experience and ability to manage multiple requests at one time
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Process oriented
  • Understanding of data assets and ability to leverage data to support an international business environment
  • Ability to work independently in a minimal to varying environment of minimal standardized operating procedures and unknowns due to the ever-changing market conditions
  • Independent and proactive work ethic
  • Curiosity to learn, dissect, and disseminate knowledge
  • Fluency in English is required; business proficiency in Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Spanish is strongly preferred


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Proactively develop international metrics, analyze trends, and collaborate with leadership to ensure reporting is delivering key business metrics that drive strategic direction
  • Implement new systems and processes that streamline communication and collaboration with other groups internally (specifically as it relates to international research)
  • Interpret new and current data to support the pursuit of innovative data presentation at the PGA TOUR
  • On an ongoing basis, evaluate system processes and reporting to ensure that we are developing relevant and actionable insights related to data
  • Coordinate the dissemination of the department’s findings with internal departments such as International Media, Business Development, Corporate Marketing, Legal, etc.
  • Provide reporting and data expertise for strategic objectives including goal setting, internal updates, future international event placement and support for strategic partnerships around the world
  • Provide research to support the PGA TOUR’s international audience development strategies
  • Assist other departments with international research requests, such as Business Development and International Media on an ad hoc basis
  • Monitor the global sports landscape to ensure TOUR continually innovates our go to market strategies, international platforms, and value proposition
  • Lead and manage research requests for the leaders in Competition Administration focused on the strategic alliance with the European Tour and continued efforts to grow and strengthen the PGA TOUR and professional golf around the world
  • Provide support to the Director of International as well as the larger International team as needed
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned
