Powders Production Technician
The Powders Production area at LGC Standards in Manchester, NH processes and mixes a wide range of real world materials such as soils, cements, rocks and minerals. The Production Technician supports production by operating, cleaning and performing light maintenance on several large, specialized machines that process these materials. We are ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17034 accredited.
The main function of this role is to operate the equipment, to crush and pulverize the materials, then mix them to ensure homogeneity (evenly mixed), and then package the materials. Due to product contamination, applicant must be a non smoker. No smoking is allowed in the building.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Process real world materials through a crusher and pulverizer, if necessary, to reduce the particle size of the materials.
- Process the materials through a sieve and a V-Blender to mix the materials evenly (homogenize).
- Process the materials through a sifter to place materials into end use containers or bottles.
- Label and package materials for branded sales and for private label customers
- Clean all equipment thoroughly between runs
- Check product labels for accuracy prior to use
- Assist in the calibration/verification of production equipment
- Keep area clean, safe and organized
- Transact materials and work in our ERP system
- Work very autonomously, with guidance from our R+D department and the machine shop supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as required
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
