2022 Summer Intern - Chief Accounting Office GAAP Accounting

The Chief Accounting Office (CAO) GAAP Accounting intern will report under the Corporate Controllers department, which is responsible for the accounting and regulatory reporting under both a Statutory and US GAAP accounting basis. The team manages all accounting functions across multiple areas including treasury, insurance, policy, corporate, broker dealer, and actuarial accounting. In addition, the team supports and administers financial information systems used by the broader Finance community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support specific areas within Finance at Equitable Holdings (EQH) and have opportunity to learn about additional functions through group research projects and networking opportunities with peers in the program.
  • Gain basic understanding of journal entry processing, balance sheet and income, statement concepts.
  • Gain experience with our general ledger system (SAP) and our reporting tool (Wdesk).
  • Support the creation of quarterly financial statements for at least one of the entities we file quarterly reports with the Securities Exchange and Commission (“SEC”).
Internship Dates: June 6, 2022 to August 12, 2022

Other Qualifications:
  • Rising senior or rising junior working towards a four-year undergraduate degree with course work in Finance, Accounting or Business related
  • Demonstrated financial, quantitative and/or data analysis skills
  • Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge and hands on experience in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
