2022 Summer Intern - Office of the CFO

The Office of the CFO Intern will have responsibilities in to include, but not lmited to:
  • Work as project manager on various initiatives
  • Communicate to various audiences
  • Ability to complete technical work (preferably familiar with and able to perform Actuarial tasks)
  • Coordinate and prepare various presentations
  • Contribute articles to the monthly Finance newsletter
  • Assist in the development of the Finance calendar of events, including but not limited to webcasts, town halls, offsites, management and department meetings, recognition events, and Finance-specific employee development opportunities
  • Help to develop feature stories and videos to promote corporate strategies, initiatives and employee development and engagement
  • Support the manager to promote employee events and build engagement, with a focus on diversity and inclusion, leveraging corporate activities and themes
  • Work end-to-end on specific project(s) for certain sub-areas, depending on need
Internship Dates: June 6, 2022 to August 12, 2022
 


Qualifications

 
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to in a wide variety of situations.
Teamwork:  Belief in the necessity and value of teamwork; experience working cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels.
Communication: Understanding the importance of insightful listening and communicating along with the ability to provide information and messages in a way that produces clarity and impact.
Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
Continuous Learning: Understanding of the rationale behind the necessity to continually learn and grow and the ability to seek performance feedback and identify approaches to improve own performance and that of others.
Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.

Other Qualifications:
  • Rising senior or rising junior working towards 4 year degree in Business, Finance and/or Communications
  • Prior internship experience in the financial and insurance industry preferred
  • Quantitative background
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
