Coordinator of Facility Operations

The Department of Campus Recreation is seeking a highly motivated professional with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to fill the position of Coordinator of Facility Operations for Campus Recreation. The primary focus of this position includes daily oversight of recreation spaces, management of the student facility staff, and oversite of all facility reservations and rentals.
Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Supervise student staff for facilities and reservations
  • Develop, implement, and review operating procedures, policies, and protocols for facility operations
  • Develop the operating and personnel budgets for assigned areas
  • Serve as a liaison to campus departments, primarily Facility Management, Grounds & Environmental Heath and Safety. Serves as the point person for our office for work orders
  • Oversee all Campus Recreation facility reservations for internal and external groups
  • Develop and implement policies regarding facility reservations
  • Provide event planning support to students, faculty, staff, and members of the outside community who are planning events on Campus Recreation spaces, including technical and logistical consultation

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • Two to three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and willingness to embrace, utilize, and master new technology
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with event planning and reservation systems (i.e. EMS)
  • Familiarity with facility operations
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse population
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Education or related field
  • 2-3 years of facility management experience in a higher education setting
  • Supervisory experience
