MANAGER, DATA ANALYTICS - NEW YORK
 
OVERVIEW
The Manager, Data Analytics is responsible for assisting all sales channels (with retail as first channel) on reporting and data analysis, sales generation , service performance as well as all aspects of business ( CRM, merchandising, trend , competition) . This role will help to increase program performance metrics through data analytics and operational support activities. 
 
It supports also the other Executive Committee members in issuing / creating reports to support other sales channels performance (WS, CRC, ECOM) as well as products performance (supply chain) and marketing activations results (marketing).
 
This encompasses the data management but also an analytical part to read and exploit data to support the business as well as market intelligence
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Retail/Sales Analytics (primary channel):
  • Monitor sales performance vs. annual sales targets for all boutiques under our retail network
  • Consolidate and analyze retail performance indicators to measure productivity of our markets, boutiques, product categories, sales force; measure and quantify results on retail action plans
  • Pilot and implement new performance measurement tools and processes for the region to facilitate the growth of our business (i.e. Retail staff performance dashboard, streamline data extraction process)
  • Develop and train local retail BM to maximize efficiency on managing retail analytics (including but not limited to: ensure SAP Business Intelligence implementation is well implemented)
  • Preparation of presentations to support management’s business strategies and decision making (strategic plan, business review, management meeting)
  • Embrace holistic approach sales data
Other Channels Support (40% of time):
  • Accompany Montblanc North America in the development of all sales channels projects
  • Meet with stakeholders (Exco) regarding problems that could be solved or informed via data mining methods, discussing with business stakeholders nature and objective in order to understand the business goal, and break it down into a smaller subset of problems that could then each be individually solved using data driven methods.
  • Support the Supply Chain / merchandising department in analyzing the products performance in the Retail Network and in evaluating the real potential of all the categories.
  • Liaise with the CRM to bring a global and holistic approach
Dashboard Visualization:
  • Where possible convert current reporting into dashboard and visualization formats in order to better highlight key causes, outcomes, relationships and takeaways.
Market intelligence:
  • Understand market trend and competition to enhance data analysis
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA degree;
  • Minimum 4-5 years of retail field and/or retail operations experience working with register systems
  • Retail math and Microsoft application proficiency (Word, Excel II, PowerPoint) is required
  • 2-3 years of inventory management and/or store management experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Commitment to exemplifying the highest integrity and professional business standards

  • Creative and proactive approach to problem solving and improving tools
  • Goal setting and roadmap development
  • High level of energy and a "Get it done" sense of urgency
  • The ability to work as part of a team, but also on an independent basis
