Account Executive

Description

Emerald is seeking an Account Executive to support the Kitchen and Bath Business (KBB) brand, including our print publication and various online product offerings. KBB is the Official Publication of NKBA and KBIS and has a distribution of 133,000 to residential designers, dealers, architects, builders and more.

As an Account Executive you will be responsible for new business development and maintenance of existing accounts for your assigned territory. You’ll be selling digital and print media, as well as managing customer service inquiries from advertisers, exhibitors and others. In addition, you will work closely with the Publisher, KBIS sales team, Editorial and Production teams to coordinate advertising fulfillment and ensure customer success.
 
This is commission-incentivized role, so the best candidate for this position will be a driven, motivated entry-level salesperson who is eager to learn about a new industry and our digital-first media brands while developing their sales talents. You’ll need to bring strong customer service skills, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a strong attention to detail to thrive in our deadline-driven, team-oriented environment.


Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales quotas
  • Oversee the sales process from initial contact through media execution
  • Conduct sales campaigns
  • Build strong relationships with influential and/or advocate accounts through travel and consistent outreach
  • Engage with industry and gain industry knowledge and understand market complexities
  • Maintain established customer base while identifying new customers through prospecting and timely fulfillment of customer requests
  • Maintain integrity of the media brands
  • Utilize CRM to maintain, code and update history and relevant records
  • Assist with collections as needed
  • Other duties as assigned per the needs of the division/publisher


Qualifications

  • At least a year of Sales experience preferred
  • Exposure to the residential design industry is a plus, but not required
  • Computer literate: MS office, CRM/ Salesforce experience a plus
  • Willing and able to travel overnight for up to 15-20% of the time for up to a week
