Job Description
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is offering a Virtual Spring Internship to a qualified candidate who will support the Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science team . This paid internship is a part-time, temporary employment opportunity averaging 20 hours per week for a postgraduate and/or undergraduate student. PCORI does not provide housing for out of town residents. All applicants must be eligible to work in the US and located in the US. Pay Range and Employment Status:
Interns shall be classified as temporary employees who are hired as interim replacements, to temporarily supplement the workforce, or to assist in the completion of a specific project and who are temporarily scheduled to work for a limited duration. Employment beyond any initially stated period does not in any way imply a change in employment status. Temporary workers are not eligible for PCORI benefits. 
Current master's level and above students will be paid $20.00 per hour. Bachelor's level students will be paid $15.00 per hour.

The Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science department is seeking an intern for the Spring 2022 semester who will have the opportunity to:
 
  • Participate in a project that addresses a key question in PCORI’s portfolio: how are researchers accounting for missing data in their research projects?
  • Gain exposure to various methodology of handling missing data and drafting methods for addressing a research question.
  • Gain experience in assessment and analysis of completed PCORI-funded research reports.
  • Build skills in testing hypotheses, presenting findings to various stakeholders and audiences.
Required Skills:
The Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science  team is seeking an intern that will meet the following requirements:
 
  • Experience with the scientific methods and research methodology, specifically quantitative and qualitative data coding and analysis. 
  • Familiarity with a research application or protocols 
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex scientific information
  • Proficient in excel
Required Experience:

Ideal candidates will be pursuing their undergraduate or postgraduate education in one of the following areas: Master of Public Health, Quantitative and qualitative research methods, Clinical research methods or methodology or related field 
 
Application Process:

Applications for the PCORI Spring Internship Program will be accepted up to 8:00pm EST on Wednesday, December 15. Applicants who are chosen will be phone screened by PCORI Human Resources. Virtual interviews with relevant intern supervisors will take place from January 3rd to 14th.
