M&A Vice President – New York

Michel Dyens & Co. is looking to hire an experienced M&A Vice President for the New York office who will be focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions in the consumer, sustainability and decarbonization sectors

·  Support the Director, contributing actively to the origination and execution of M&A advisory activities in the sustainability, decarbonization and impact investing sectors as well as the consumer sector;

·  Execution: day-to-day management of all aspects of M&A sell-side transactions (including preparation of marketing materials, financial analyses, information package, due diligence processes, coordination with transaction stakeholders and third-party advisors, etc.)

·  Origination: conceptualize, organize, prepare and deliver client presentations, including pitches and information memorandums, and actively participate in client meetings;

·  Proactively contribute to origination and marketing activities;

·  Manage, train and develop associates, analysts and interns and maintain high levels of motivation.

 

At least 5+ years of experience of working on international sell-side M&A transactions in the consumer and/or sustainability sectors, or experience in strategy consulting or Big 4 group in transaction services, valuations or M&A advisory. A Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a related field from a top school is preferred but not required.

·  In-depth M&A transaction understanding, with a broad corporate finance skillset, and direct experience assisting in the origination and execution of M&A transactions;

·  Relevant exposure to the sustainability / climate / decarbonization sectors and knowledge of the main players;

·  Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for internal and client interactions;

·  Meticulous with keen eye for detail;

·  Proven experience in international and cross-border M&A transactions, preferably on the sell-side, and particularly among European and American clients;

·  Team-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a knack for multi-tasking;

·  Self-starter and entrepreneurial, with a taste for business and client development;

·  Capacity to take ownership and drive individual projects.
