Summer Experiential Education Facilitator or Leader-in-Training Mentor - June 18 - August 13, 2023
If you are looking for a change-making, equity-focused, youth-development opportunity and you have a passion for the outdoors, STEM, leadership, and experiential education then Princeton-Blairstown Center is looking for you! This summer, join a diverse and dynamic team of individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students from historically marginalized areas in Newark and Trenton, on PBC’s campus with our award-winning Summer Bridge OR Leader-in-Training programs. Summer fun will be the primarily goal of Summer Experiential Education Facilitators who focus on addressing "summer learning gap" in innovative ways that helps youth develop and integrate their academic, physical, and social and emotional well-being, along with their environmental awareness and stewardship.
.Our Leader-in-Training Mentors work with a small cohort of high school youth to develop leadership, financial literacy, communication, and job-related skills.
For Summer Experiential Education Facilitators:
- Salary $500 per week or $4,000 for the summer.
- Most Saturdays and Sundays off plus one night each week.
- Room (airconditioned house) and all meals (valued at approximately $400 per week).
For Leader-in-Training Menors:
- Salary $500 per week for training and $600 per week for work with students or $4,600 for the summer.
- One weekend day and one weekday off.
- Overnight supervision of high school LIT cohort in air-conditioned lodge/cabin plus all meals (valued at approximately $400 per week).
All staff will arrive on June 18th - training starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 19th and goes until June 30th. You will receive extensive training, which includes certification in First Aid/CPR/AED. Lifeguard certification also possible. The season starts on July 3rd-August 13th.
