2022 Winter Intern- State and Local Tax (SALT)

CohnReznick currently has an exciting career opportunity in our State and Local Tax practice. We are looking for an Intern to join our team starting in January 2022 (Winter Intern). This is a paid internship. The winter internship requires you to be available to work at least 3 days a week (22.5 hours per week).

As an Intern with CohnReznick you will:
  • Support and integrate with State and Local Tax group to assist with general SALT consulting, audit defense and compliance issues
  • Obtain knowledge base in the multi-state tax area by working on various projects including, research, analysis and preparing memorandum on    SALT matters
  • Experience projects involving nexus studies, planning and restructuring issues, voluntary disclosures and audit defense and controversy matters
  • Assist with Thought Leadership articles and webinars; and
  • Assist with issues and responding to questions from clients on daily basis

Requirements:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting/ Taxation is preferred
  • Working toward CPA eligibility while pursuing 150 credits
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in both your major and overall
  • Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of your internship
  • Leadership positions in extracurricular activities are looked favorably upon, as well as work and internship experience
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • General computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
