Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic (Protection and Communication) WB-2610-00

This position is part of the Western Area Power Administration. As a Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic (Protection and Communication), you will receive entry-level pay with the possibility of promotion to full journeyman status after meeting certification and performance requirements (generally within 3-6 months).

Regional Pay:
SNR $68.81 - $71.68 per hour
DSW $56.37 - $58.72 per hour

Protection and Communication Craftsmen perform the following: Maintain, repair, modify, program, install and commission power system substation protection control, monitoring and metering equipment. Maintain, repair, install, program, and test polyphase revenue metering equipment, including electronic and microprocessor-based kilowatt hour meters, digital demand recorders, and instrument transformers. Maintain, repair, install, program, and test control equipment used in controlling substation equipment.
