Research Associate 2 - Emergency Medicine

Position Focus:
With a high degree of independence and limited supervision, assists PI and Co- Investigators with implementation and coordination of all aspects of department research projects which are conducted in the YNHH Emergency Department. Serving as the primary clinical liaison, you will be responsible for all facets of research including but not limited to: management of research staff, data collections, analyses, preparing reports, presentations and publications. May perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have the ability to have a flexible work schedule as different phases of the grant and complex ED schedules will drive the schedule.

Required Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in a related discipline and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skill/Ability 1:
Proven experience conducting and supporting all phases of research in a clinical environment.

Required Skill/Ability 2:
Demonstrated self-motivation, independent, consistent and reliable, including excellent attendance and punctuality. Proven ability to be extremely organized, detailed orientated and a strong communicator.

Required Skill/Ability 3:
Proven ability to effectively, efficiently and independently work under pressure, and to set priorities among multiple competing tasks. Excellent oral/written communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Experience conducting and supporting all phases of research in a clinical environment with populations with substance use disorders and knowledge of medical terminology. Facility and experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with a statistical analysis software, such as SPSS, and experience using an IPAD as an electronic data collection tool. Ability to work with Endnote and Adobe software.
