Responsibilities

NISA Investment Advisors, LLC offers a summer 2022 internship program for college students. We tailor intern projects to match the interests of interns with our needs and provide interns experience in various aspects of investment management. Examples of intern projects include:
  • Assist in processing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions 
  • Assist Trade Assistants with the trade confirmation process 
  • Assist Account Administrators with communicating trade instructions to custodian banks 
  • Research and analyze custodial agreements
  • Research and analyze pre-tax and after-tax portfolio returns
  • Model and analyze indices (i.e., S&P 500, Barclays Aggregate)
  • Model and analyze fixed income securities (ABS, CMO, bonds with embedded options)
  • Perform credit analysis on corporate issuers
  • Enhance proprietary models
  • Research and document historical return data to comply with legal requirements

Qualifications

  • Winter 2022 or Spring 2023 undergraduates are preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a strong analytical and quantitative field such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or Computer Science required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, both independently and within a team setting
