Police Recruits are employees assigned to attend and successfully complete the POST-certified Police Recruit Training Academy, including meeting and maintaining qualifications on firearms and other weapons, prior to being commissioned as Police Officers for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Police Recruit is a paid position.
