Data Analyst - Supply Chain & Operations

As Penumbra's Data Analyst overseeing Supply Chain & Operations, you will contribute to Penumbra's mission of improving the lives of patients worldwide by continuing to develop unique solutions that advance and transform paradigms of treatment and care.  You will be part of a diverse, dynamic team developing tools to optimize the supply chain & inventory operations of a rapidly growing public company. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory to identify days on hand, excess, obsolete inventory, and expiring raw materials as well as analyzing data and develop predictive analytics, to suggest appropriate inventory levels. This role will require working collaboratively with a number of departments and key stakeholders, reviewing and updating operation processes to optimize cost and reduce expenses. What You'll Do

  • Assist in understanding production schedules, raw materials and inventory for assigned manufacturing area involving the production of customer orders, sub-assemblies, stock orders, work-in-process and inter-company transfer orders.
  • Work with Global Supply Chain to continuously improve inventory forecasting.
  • Monitor daily inventories
  • Participate as a key team member to consistently achieve improvements to on-time delivery performance.
  • Use ERP system to understand current inventory balances and forecasted build, MRP schedules.
  • Be a mentor for the other team members.
  • Communicate and work with Production, Global Supply Chain, Marketing, Purchasing and Finance to meet business goals.
  • Perform inventory analysis to continuously improve company targets and financial performance.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in data analytics, AI or supply chain, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred.
  • Highly proficient in data analysis, data modeling and AI
  • Hands on experience working with complex data sets, data visualization, predictive modeling and report writing
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Python
  • Experience setting up and conducting training on technology rollout and change management
  • Ability to work in a team environment and share schedule issues clearly with all levels of management
  • Ability to solve problems, identify root causes and implement effective alternatives
  • Experience with cost control is a plus
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required
  • Strong attention-to-detail
  • Self-starter with a focus on taking initiative and ability to handle multiple projects with excellent organizational skills
