Director of Quality Assurance - Non-profit Mental Health Agency

The primary responsibility of the Director of Quality Assurance (QA) is to aid in maintaining quality for the agency. The Director of Quality Assurance oversees the Central QA team, ensuring the team has the resources they need. The Director of Quality Assurance has a high level of organizational and analytical skills and the ability to understand and apply Medi-Cal regulations, Privacy and Security regulations, best practice principles, and accreditation standards. The Director of Quality Assurance oversees compliance related projects, develops new policies and procedures as needed, and establishes and maintains relationships with other department leaders and county partners

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Central QA Meetings and foster a positive and supportive team culture
  • Provide regular supervision to assigned supervises and provide coverage when needed
  • Responsible for overseeing all Billing Information System entries
  • Monitor Medi-Cal documentation
  • Collaborate with Seneca Program Leadership, other Seneca Administrative Departments, as well as outside agencies
  • Liaison with various county personnel to ensure ongoing collaboration, field concerns, and rectify any issues
  • Liaison with QA Assistant Directors and QA Managers to ensure that both the needs of the program and the needs of Central QA are being met in a timely manner
  • Develop policies and procedures as appropriate for the department and agency
  • Oversee Internal Audits of each program to assess for Medi-Cal, accreditation, and agency compliance
  • Develop and provide trainings focused on compliance and other QA related topics
  • Oversee QA development and processes within new programs created within the agency
  • Agency wide responsibility for coordination of Joint Commission Accreditation and Compliance issues
  • Function as the agency privacy officer


Qualifications

  • BA degree, Masters Level Degree preferred, preferably in Social Services or related field
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, computer and communication skills
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, including experience with increasing levels of responsibility and supervisory experience
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to prioritize projects
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability through Seneca’s automobile policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and all other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination


Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
