Quality Control Associate - Chicago

Job Summary
The incumbent will assist the Middle Desk Quality Control Unit within the Chicago Branch to 1) ensure major risk type reporting is relevant, accurate, complete & presented to various risk constituents in the most appropriate manner for the given audience; 2) work with other risk management related personnel including 1st line and 2nd line of defense to build sustainable and repeatable processes for producing risk reports; 3) perform high-level review of underwriting package

Job Responsibilities
Include but not limited to
Risk Management and Reporting
· Support all aspects of the Enterprise Risk Management program, such as Risk Assessment, Risk Issues tracking and reporting
· Understand the similarities and differences for all other risk assessment activities across the organization and working to harmonize these assessments
· Perform high-level review on underwriting package including financial reports, credit recommendation reports, periodic loan reviews, Post Lending Management tickler etc.
· Working with various teams to promote common sets of tools for risk assessments across the organization
· Implement Bank’s post lending management requirements, communicating to ensure sufficient and standardized practice
· Perform periodic QA Test and track the status of action plan
Compliance
· Work with other departments within the branch to complete all projects and initiatives in accordance to regulatory requirements
· Ensure the branch’s risk management is in line with Banks’ Risk Governance Framework
· Review and update each department’s Policy & Procedure and workflow periodically according to risk management requirements
· Work closely with all departments in the branch to ensure data integrity in all uses

Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or above with major in finance, accounting, economics, and other related disciplines preferred
· 1-3 years of banking or financial sector experience
· Good communication skills, and demonstrate understanding of financial statements as well as general knowledge of corporate banking
· Bilingual in Mandarin and English required
· CAMS certification preferred
