Marketing & Membership Intern

Job Summary:
The Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts, Inc., Marketing & Membership Intern is part of a small team managing the activities of the association and our committees of dedicated member volunteers.  

We are seeking a motivated self-starter to support our Director of Marketing & Business Development and Operations Manager. The position will focus on communications with our member companies including information blasts, monthly newsletters, and social media.  Various administrative responsibilities and member database management are also possible.

The selected candidate will be embedded within our office operations. Daily, weekly, and monthly tasks have been identified as well as a potential capstone project for individuals who excel in understanding the business. AGC MA is an equal opportunity employer. Organizational Responsibilities:
·        Works collaboratively with AGC MA staff including reporting regularly on developments to CEO and connecting with colleagues on parallel initiatives.
·        Proactively identifies opportunities for organizational growth related to their role.
·        Promote a safe and inclusive industry by supporting diversity and equity initiatives
·        Assist in establishing processes and procedures related to a centralized brand management strategy
·        Assist in developing accurate lists of current members and high value potential members for targeted communications
 
Individual Duties/Responsibilities:
·        Collaborates with AGC MA Staff and members to identify and implement creative programs and solutions to help Members better manage their business and remain competitive
·        Identify relevant social media content for approval by Director of Marketing & Business Development
·        Attend AGC MA committee meetings as requested
·        Draft monthly newsletter based on topics suggested by AGC MA staff members
·        Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the CEO

Education/Certifications/Skills:
·        Preferred candidate will be a current college student concentrating in Business or Marketing/Communications. However, we are open to applications from any major.
·        Experience with marketing and publication softwares, ConstantContact, and customer relationship management (CRM) databases preferred
·        Bonus for knowledge of construction, government, non-profits, labor unions, etc.
 
Supervision/Collaboration:
·        Receives direction and reports to the Director of Marketing and Business Development
·        Works with and daily supervision by the Operations Manager
