SPRING TERM TIME EDITORIAL INTERNSHIP

WRITING at ideamix
This position requires some experience with writing and will help interns gain journalistic experience, publish their edited pieces under their own byline on theideamix.com and learn copywriting skills. The overall objective will be to help conceive, research, create and edit content for IDEAMIX to have a practical, representative experience of working at a media company. While this is an unpaid internship, we provide a lunch & transportation stipend.

Interns in this position will have pieces published every two weeks and will go through an editing process on every piece with Sam, the founder of the company. They will also be responsible for maintaining the library. Interns will learn writing skills, how to optimize articles using basic SEO rules, and will gain experience using WordPress.

This internship commences at the beginning of the fall semester, then interns can stay on for as long as they choose, with the earliest end date being December 15th. Interns are expected to work approximately 10 hours a week.

Interns will have an opportunity to work closely with the founder of Ideamix, Samhita Jayanti. The founder has extensive career experiences and networks across a range of finance, journalism and technology and can be helpful in full time job placement for future career goals.
