Are you a recent college graduate that is confident in your ability to succeed in any role, given the opportunity and the proper training? Do you have the ability to focus on the immediate work that needs to be done while maintaining a systematic and patient approach? If the answer is yes, then this may be the perfect role for you.
Encore is an industry leading, full service fire protection company serving all of New England from offices in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Our continued growth and success has created the need for an Entry Level Data Analyst within our Operations team, working from our Middletown, Connecticut office.
What you'll be doing:
  • Ensure upcoming and previous services comply with local regulations and the agreement set with the customer
  • Maintain the accuracy and completion of customer information and facilitate entry of new customers
  • Identify discrepancies in contracted work, invoicing errors and timecards
  • Create and run various reports to perform audits and analyze compiled data
  • Assist with administrative tasks from operations in peak periods
  • Participate and/or manage small to medium size projects to implement new technology offerings to the organization
  • Work with high volumes of information from multiple platforms
  • Review customer accounts for accuracy and completeness of set-up
  • Assist our Operations Department by providing impactful reports on current company performance

Requirements

The Data Analyst role may be entry-level, but we'd encourage anyone who is applying to see this as an entry-point in to an organization that truly values ambition and rewards hard work. The only limits to where someone in this position can rise are the ones they put on themselves. Requirements are simple:
  • College degree with a minimum 1-year professional office experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and above average proficiency with technology
  • Desire to be part of a successful team but able to work independently
  • Critical thinking skills to identify trends within the data and reports and/or suggestions for other potentially relevant operating metrics that can be compiled with the available data
  • Initiative to delve deeper into data if/when unexpected results are uncovered
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Benefits

As a company, Encore is hyper-focused on developing a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we get to make peoples' lives better and safer each day. One of the ways we do this is by generously rewarding all those who contribute to our continued growth. But we also believe that not all rewards are monetary. Here are just a few a few perks that a successful individual in this role can expect:
  • Salary commensurate with experience with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role
  • Purpose and results driven work environment (work smarter not harder)
  • We dress for the objective which means most days we wear jeans but occasionally we wear suits. As long as you know which situations require which (or aren't afraid to ask), you'll be all set!
  • Speaking of attire, we offer all employees Encore gear twice a year
  • Snacks and coffee everyday and weekly "to-order" office lunches and breakfast
  • Freedom to express ideas - a culture of willingness to test, try, modify, adopt, enhance, improve and CHANGE as needed
  • Access to leading edge web-based productivity tools
  • Participation in Fidelity 401(K) that includes employer match
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits through Blue Cross
  • Company-paid life insurance policy of $25,000
