Data Engineer - Reporting & Analytics

What you’ll do in your role.

• End to end database responsibility, including the build of all the database systems from the ground up, and daily management
• Be the focal point of database administration and data governance
• Gather complex data inputs from multiple sources to build robust data models and pipelines
• Partner with peers & stakeholders on the development and production of rapid customer & network insight visualizations
• Responsible for the design, testing, implementation and validation of both the back end and front-end systems
• Work with National, Region and Market teams to prioritize network expansion into Small Town Rural areas.
• Develop and refine processes for evaluating network coverage and capacity to support new distribution.
• Utilize data analytics to provide decision making insights. Use skills to develop new processes and enhance existing applications and processes.
• Support Sales and Care on new technology deployments

The experience you’ll bring.

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (SQL/PLSQL/MySQL) and Oracle RDBMS
• Web development experience, including Python (or other scripting languages), JavaScript, CSS, HTML
• A solid understanding of the functions within a wireless network carrier, preferably with some industry exposure
• Ability to write and implement highly efficient algorithms and follow standard coding
• Understand the use of orchestration deployment tools and documentation such as GIT and version control
• Strong technical and analytical skills, including statistics-based reporting
• Some demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities & deliverables
• Cellular/Mobile Technology proficiency in 4G/5G and NR theory and practical experience.
• 5-7 years of experience within the wireless industry troubleshooting, optimizing, and designing wireless communication sites.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline with emphasis in Wireless Telecom technologies

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work.
