Job Description


Our AI & Analytics group is responsible for working with various business owners/stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, GCS, Infosec, Operations, and Finance to solve complex business problems which will have a direct impact on the metrics defined to showcase the progress of Palo Alto Networks.We leverage the latest technologies from the Cloud & Big Data ecosystem to improve business outcomes and create through prototyping, Proof-of-Concept projects and application development. We are seeking an intern for our team who will work closely with other Principal Engineers, Product Managers, Data Engineers & Data Scientists. In this role you will work in the AI & A team to design, and deliver our next generation data services

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture,
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Build analytics that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into various  key business performance metrics.
  • Work closely with data visualization and pipeline engineers to efficiently workon on end to end business deliverables.
  • Document the details of data analysis and software development.

Qualifications


  • Currently working towards a B.A./B. S/B.E./MS in a technical area (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
  • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python/Scala, etc.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform is a plus
  • Superb communicator and relationship-builder
  • Self-motivated team player and capable of working in a fast environment
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong SQL programming experience
