Editor/Colorist

We’re looking for an Editor/Colorist with experience in commercial video post production and has a passion for telling stories through the craft of filmmaking. The ideal candidate has a balance of artistic sensibilities and technical skills, with a hunger to grow both. As a part of the studio you’ll have to opportunity to cut broadcast commercials, social content, and everything in-between. 

Responsibilities:
  • Editing a variety of content in Premiere, from ingesting footage and transcoding on through to final exports.
  • Consulting with creative directors and other stakeholders to align on vision.
  • Color grading with Davinci Resolve & Premiere.
  • Be able to interpret notes and act on client feedback.
  • Making cut-downs of existing edits.
  • Audio mixing.
  • Create exports and prep final versions of videos for client delivery; that includes various formats appropriate to web, broadcast, social, gifs, banners, etc.
  • Ensuring that projects are prepped for archiving.
  • Matching motion graphics assets to live action footage. 

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years experience working as an editor in a commercial video production facility or as a freelance commercial producer.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere and be able to work autonomously on a project from beginning through delivery.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of post-production technology, i.e. transcoding, media management, etc.
  • Experience with sound recording, design, music composition, and final mixing a plus.
  • Familiarity with the entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator etc.) in order to make minor changes and updates.
  • Expertise with color grading in Davinci Resolve & Premiere.
  • Flexibility and an ability to multitask/problem-solve in a busy environment or on tight schedules.
  • Strong work ethic and a good attitude.
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • On set production experience a plus.
